"The band was extremely pleasant to listen to, giving songs to sing along to and all round a good toe-tapping melody to follow along with. The set was amazing and would love to listen to The Sofa Kings again. "

"Want something a little different and a whole lot good? Killer song list delivered with a wonderful feel and transparency."
- Ian McLaws, Guitarist, Vocalist, Music Producer, Engineer
The Sofa Kings originally formed in 2011, bringing together founding members of The Classics, a well-known local band that had taken a break. Over the next three years, the band experimented with various configurations before settling on the group that would eventually define their sound. Performing around Halifax, they quickly built a loyal following. Although the band disbanded to rejoin The Classics, fan demand never waned, with many asking when The Sofa Kings would return. After several years with The Classics, the time was right to regroup. With most of the original members back, The Sofa Kings have reunited and are ready to hit the stage once again.
